Blepharoplasty describes the procedure performed to correct skin redundancy, wrinkling and baggy appearance of the upper and/or lower eyelids. These features contribute to a "tired look".
The operation may then require the removal of skin and/or fat as indicated by the individual case.
It occasionally involves the tightening of the corners of the eyes.
Incisions are made along the lash lines or the inner lining of the lower eyelids, and in a well-concealed central portion of the upper eyelids.
This procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia with I.V. sedation with a recovery period of one week.
At the time of your initial office consultation, Dr. Fusi will discuss is great detail the procedure, associated risks and postoperative recovery.
